First off -- I will say that the idea is original of @Escad_ , I wasn't even thinking of having a mob that grows in power, but it is an awesome idea for a few reasons.
Mechanically, this would have to be an event that would require (almost) the entire server to band together if "The Mob" (lore...
Recently, @Aekalix and the content team dropped a devlog spelling out the abilities of the classes we'll soon(TM) be able to play.
I've always been a "mage" user but Knight does sound fun to play. Thoughts?
Not sure if I exactly understand what you're saying, but whatever your base hearts (the ones you see) are, you'd set them up in a ratio with the actual hearts. Example: 4000hp/5000hp would translate to 8 /10 hearts visually showing on screen. You can just keep the ratios for whatever amount of...
Imo you should visually show the hearts. The typical MMO way I've found of doing this is just using action bar messages to display the health as a fraction, because otherwise how will you know what your health is?
This may be posted somewhere already, but will health be upgradeable i/e you can gain more hearts and have like 100/100 above the hot-bar like other servers do, or will it be health in the form of armor where it takes more damage per heart etc.
Rather self-explanatory, but I'd picture something like what EarthMC has where it updates in real-time with player movements/terrain edits (or just terrain if phasing makes showing players an issue).
This would benefit Dyescape because the map is an integral part of the server, and having a...
I agree with your points, but again, we don’t know the logistics of how guilds will be implemented. For example, I’ve heard creating a guild will be a donor perk so that would definitely decrease the volume of requests. Also, perhaps having less guilds would be more beneficial so we don’t have...
Not everything in the world can be automated, some stuff will simply need to be waited on.. however, having to wait to create a guild will make creating a guild a more serious proposition and weed out the less-serious people who want to create a guild off a whim.
I think you misunderstood me because I am not suggesting a generator or a list of pre-defined names at all... what I'm suggesting is staff should approve of names when someone wishes to create a guild to maintain some standard with Dyescape's lore.
For example:
Player 1: "Our guild name will...
The GOT names was simply an example. I'm not suggesting we outright copy GOT in any way (I'd suggest the opposite), but the idea of naming your guild after your last-name is not exclusive to Game of Thrones (Mistborn is another series I can name off the top of my head that does this).
I'm...
Hello Dyescape people!
It is I, Perotin, back again with another suggestion...
This suggestion is pretty basic but can add to the immersive quality of Dyescape greatly. The idea is to create a standard for guild names so that they fit loosely with the lore of Dyescape. What I mean is that the...
You realize that 95% of our activity is in discord right? No one will see time-sensitive threads here besides for a few, and it'll unnecessarily clutter the forums. We have made group messages but obviously I can't add everyone in dyescape in a group message, (I could but that'd be insane). The...
