Short description: Upon revival while under the tree, next to the Guard during the 5th installment of the main quest line, Nolan bugs out and becomes hostile towards you, attacking you to death.
Long description: Upon revival while under the tree, next to the Guard during the 5th installment of the main quest line, Nolan bugs out and becomes hostile towards you, attacking you to death. The speculation here is that Empty Potion bottles bought from the general store (could be sold elsewhere, too, have not checked) work in order to revive downed NPCs (which they shouldn't), however, they have the tendency to break something. Another example of empty health potions producing bugs during this particular quest can be seen on another thread of mine (Main Quest V: Nolan bugs out completely while being escorted).
Of course, the empty health potion issue is only a speculation, as a series of other things could probably be the cause.
